MOLD TESTING AND INDOOR AIR QUALITY TESTING

Our team of home inspection professionals are experts in mold testing and mold inspections. We come in and test your home – or prospective home – for mold and if we find mold, we will determine what’s causing that mold growth. Our home inspectors are IAC2 certified and take the time to thoroughly evaluate your home. We start with a complete visual inspection of the home and locate moisture causing concerns. If we find visual mold we can sample it and send it to our lab partners to further analyze. The key to a proper mold evaluation is to find all the factors contributing to mold growth. Growing mold can not only cause potential damage to your home, but it can cause your home to have poor air quality. Indoor air quality is important to living a safe and healthy life within your home.

We can test your home’s air and our certified lab partners will test for pollen for the following Mold Spores:

I booked Heartland Home Inspections to inspect a property that I am purchasing. When I arrived at the property, Ed was already there. On-Time: check. Ed spent about 3 hours with me at the property going over every detail of the home. I felt that no stone had been left unturned. Ed answered every question and made suggestions for repairs throughout the process. He was very knowledgeable and patient. The report from Ed was incredibly detailed. This is the 3rd home inspection I’ve had in the last 3 years and this was easily the best. Every concern was labeled individually which made it really easy to make repair requests to the sellers. I simply directed them to the numbered comment in question. It’s rare to find such quality in work and ethics nowadays. Ed and Heartland definitely exemplify these traits. I would recommend them to anyone.

WHAT OUR HOME INSPECTORS WILL PERFORM

During the mold inspection

During a complete mold inspection, our inspectors will perform a non-invasive, visual examination of the readily accessible, visible, and installed systems and components of the building, as outlined in the IAC2 mold inspection standards of practice. Take moisture, temperature, and humidity measurements, at least three air samples (one indoor and two outdoor), and possibly one surface sampling at an area of concern.
