Our home inspection company is fully licensed and insured with 20 years of experience in the residential home improvement and construction industry, and 10 years of experience in the real estate property management industry (Residential and Commercial). We bring a team of professional inspectors and professionals for all areas of home inspection. We are a full-service home inspection company that values integrity and quality. We not only conduct in-depth detailed home inspections but we also teach you how to operate your home.
Our founder (and chief inspector) is a certified Master Home Inspector accredited by the International Association of Certified Home Inspector Board. Our company brings a new level of expertise, knowledge, integrity, and thoroughness to the NJ home inspection industry. Our loyalty is to our clients and clients only. Because of this, we are referred by top real estate attorneys and realtors who have their clients’ best interests in mind. Ed Novak is our founder and owner of Heartland Home Inspections. Ed is a Certified Master Home Inspector Licensed both with the NJ Home Inspector Advisory Board and is accredited with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) as well as the New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NJNACHI). Ed holds a Radon Measurement Technician License with the NJDEP, is a PSMA certified licensed septic and waste systems specialist and a certified Wood Destroying Insect Inspector. Although we do not offer Septic inspections, it was important for the business that we know all aspects of the septic inspection process to ensure we have a higher level of expertise with all aspects of the home. Ed has over 20 years background in Residential and Commercial General Contracting, NJ Building Code Compliance, Commercial Building Property Management, and is an expert in Residential Building Material Products. Ed founded Heartland Home Inspections around the principles of being the most educated, thorough, and honest home inspection company with the highest of integrity. Ed works tirelessly to bring the absolute best home inspection experience to our clients every day.

Amber Novak
Amber Novak is the Co-Owner of Heartland Home Inspections and the wife of Ed Novak. Amber has a diverse background in the home improvement industry starting at age 14 working at her family’s hardware store in Hammonton NJ. Since that time, she held store management roles with Blinds To Go and Lowe’s Home Improvement. After spending over 15 years in that industry, she joined the family’s home inspection business. Amber is a Licensed NJ Home Inspector and NJDEP Radon Measurement Technician, manages the backend operations of the company, including our social media, and makes sure the company runs smoothly. Amber also plays an integral role in our companies famous “Heartland Advantage”. After one of our Certified Master Inspectors completes a home inspection, she diligently audits every home inspection report. Every comment, picture, and finding are meticulously reviewed to enhance accuracy and reliability. She brings her management, attention to detail, training, and organizational skills to the company to ensure every client gets the best experience possible.

Lee is one of our highly accredited licensed Certified Master Home Inspectors (CMI). He is our full-time and primary home inspection specialist. He is a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) as well as the New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NJNACHI). In addition to his home inspection license, Lee is a NJDEP licensed radon measurement specialist, PSMA certified licensed septic and waste systems specialist, and a certified Wood Destroying Insect inspector. As a former contractor's apprentice, manager of 84 Lumber, and Industrial Arts Supervisor, Lee brings over 20 years of industry experience to a number of important areas including roofing, siding, framing, landscaping, carpentry, deck/patio installation, electrical, and plumbing. Lee prides himself in utilizing his educational background to help educate homeowners on the many different aspects of their home and ensuring the best home inspection experience possible.Home Inspection
